Official Plan & Zoning By-Law

The Official Plan is a statement of goals, objectives and policies to guide future growth within the Township for a twenty (20) year horizon. The current Official Plan and Zoning By-Law has been in-effect for many years. The purpose of the Official Plan and Zoning By-Law project is to create a new Official Plan for the township, which reflect the community’s vision, goals and objectives for land use planning, and which is up-to-date with provincial legislative and policy requirements.

Please note that public and stakeholder consultation is critical to the Official Plan and Zoning By-law process. There will be ongoing opportunities to participate in this process and it is recommended the public periodically check this page for the latest updates and information regarding the project.

These four Townships in the Temiskaming District, lie in the Little Clay Belt. They are primarily farm areas, and in Hudson, include cottages and permanent residences surrounding the Hudson Lakes.
